At the end of a packed final evening at the British Show Pony Society’s 42nd summer championships at Arena UK, Lincs, Pearl Underwood’s Utah II took the Timberwolf supreme title of 2011.
Ridden beautifully by Hannah Louise Horton, Utah II combined movement, manners and presence.
“He was a real showman, and he well deserved this win,” said judge Pat Stirling.
In her first season with Utah II last year, Hannah ended the year on a high when taking the intermediate show hunter title at Horse of the Year Show.
“I know what he can do best, so I use his strongest points to show him off,” said Hannah.
Taking the reserve was Gemma Stanford’s Highland pony Tower Clyde, who clinched the David Manning Associates overall supreme champion of champions title for Mathew Lawrence.
“This pony always goes well and gives everything in his performance, he really is very special” said Mathew.
