Glyncoch Hyfryd made a dream come true for her owner and producer Jan Pearce, when picking up a ticket to the 2007 Cuddy final at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) at Builth Wells (23-26 July).
The Welsh Section A won her broodmare class on her way to claiming the section A championship. The 14-year-old grey mare is both bred and produced by the Pearce family.
It was our dream to win at the Royal Welsh, said Jan. Our dream came true in our class, the championship and in the Cuddy, so were still on a cloud.
Reserve in the Cuddy was the riding pony champion Bradmore Celebration, shown by Craig Elenor. By Sandbourne Royal Ensign, the two-year-old filly has already taken reserve in the Cuddy at Royal Bath and West and won the supreme riding pony championship at Three Counties this season.
My champion was a beautiful section A mare, said Cuddy judge Eddie Tamplin. She was better than anything else in the class. My reserve was a lovely riding pony, who looked absolutely immaculate today.
