Welcome to our group test of summer breeches. All of the breeches in this group test have been thoroughly tested by former eventer turned para dressage rider Tamsin Addison. Find out what she thought below.
Official description
Horseware Adalie Summer Breeches are designed to be your equestrian wardrobe staple for riding and everyday wear. With a low to medium rise waist, they suit one and all. These breeches have a flattering back pocket design with low profile branding.
First impressions
I really like the blue/white colouring, white stitching and the pocket design as well as the belt loops. On first feel I wondered whether they would be a little thick for summer breeches.
Overview of performance
These breeches have no added grip on the seat, but as the inner knee pads are quite effective I didn’t find it affected my riding too much. Personally I’m not a fan of low-rise waists as I don’t find them very comfortable to wear, but they did look really good on. I found the sizing came up a little bit small, so if you are typically slightly between sizes I would go up, rather than down.
Likes and dislikes
Overall I really like the style of these breeches and they look very nice on, but personally I’m not a fan of the low-rise waist as I find it makes breeches less comfortable to wear and not as easy to move around in.
Verdict
A stylish pair of everyday breeches for any rider
