Welcome to our independent group test of summer riding tights. All of the leggings in this group test have been put through their paces by event rider and BHSII Lisa Spence. Find out what she thought below.
Official description
The Dublin Performance Active tights feature a super stretch performance fabric that provides four way stretch for maximum comfort and freedom. The PU silicon print design provides optimum grip and stability in the saddle, while the handy side pocket keeps your belongings safe.
First impressions
The tights didn’t look or feel as good quality as some of the others, so I was interested to see how the seat grip would fair.
Overview of performance
I am afraid to say that these really didn’t perform well. The elastic inside the waist twisted making them uncomfortable. Plus the silicone came off, leaving some on my saddle and some fell off as I was walking about.
Lisa’s likes and dislikes
They do keep you cool, were initially comfortable to wear and fitted well, but they are not very hardwearing.

Verdict
Comfortable at first, but they don’t stand up to daily wear.
