The reviewer said that these are great affordable boots for everyday use and low level competition but the fit may be tricky for some

This boot comes in black only making it ideal for competition use. Available in sizes 3-8. Unfortunately the boot does not come in half sizes.

The boots were well packaged, and on first impressions they looked just the job for someone not wanting to spend an absolute fortune on a smart pair of riding boots. The boots zip up the length of the back and also have two popper fastenings — one at the top on the back and one around the back of the ankle, which help to keep the zip in place and the look around the ankle slim. The quality isn’t bad and the boots are reasonably comfortable, although the ankle fit was snug which I like, the calf was a little on the ‘baggy’ side which detracted from the overall appearance once on a horse.
The boots worked well in wet weather as they have a good sized tread on the sole (although this isn’t great aesthetically in a competition environment). Having said this I went eventing in them on a wet, muddy day and the tread definitely helped to keep my feet secure in the stirrups.

The boots were quite good value and I would recommend to anyone wanting to ride in long boots on a daily basis, or to those who don’t want to spend silly amounts of money on competition boots.

Easy to clean although hard to get a real shine out of after initial use. Hold shape reasonably well in between uses. I think you would get a decent amount of use out of them — seem to be very durable.

You may struggle to get these boots to fit comfortably if you don’t have small-ish ankles, and I think the tread can afford to be made a little more shallow.

Overall a great boot for everyday use and low level competition.
