Riders are being invited to experience with a 200ft bungee jump at the aptly named Crazihorse Summer Ball at Lingfield racecourse in Surrey on 4 August.
The event is being organised by the Mark Davies Injured Riders’ Fund who are asking people to raise at least £50 for sponsorship – of which over £25 will go to the fund.
Organiser Lyn How says: “We are really hoping it will be successful. Many of our normal fund-raising efforts haven’t happened because so many shows have been cancelled.
“Somehow we have managed to keep up with the demands on the fund and nobody has been turned away.”
The event starts at 3pm with live bands, dancing, food and a showjumping knock-out competition.
