Albion saddle for shorter backed horses

  • Albion is now making saddles which have been specifically designed for horses with a shorter back.

    Albion’s new “short back panel” saddle is available in the original SLK range that was developed in 2001 in conjunction with Klaus Balkenhol.

    The short back panel follows the contours of the shorter backed horse whether they have a curved or flat back.

    “The specialist ‘short back panel’ option eliminates pressure directly behind the saddle allowing maximum freedom of movement for the horse over the back and loin area maximising hock engagement,” said a spokesman from the company.

    The saddle is available in all seat sizes and fittings across the SLK range and costs £2099.
