Woman arrested for drink-riding in Hertfordshire


  • A woman has been arrested for drink-riding in Hertfordshire.

    Thirty-one-year-old Maxine Wiltshire was stopped by police at 2.45pm on Monday (26 January) when she rode through a shopping precinct in Hemel Hempstead.

    She allegedly rode through a pedestrianised area of Henry Wells Square.

    A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police said: “Ms Wiltshire has been charged with being in control of a horse in a public place while drunk.

    Ms Wiltshire is due to appear at West Hertfordshire Magistrates Court on 20 February.
