The Irish Long Distance Riding Association ILDRA have approved the dates for the 2001 Wicklow Hills Endurance Festival.
The festival will run from Sunday the 12th to Thursday the 16th of August.
The Al Maktoum Cup FEI CEI(A) which is again a two-day 200km international competition will take place on 15 – 16 of August next year.
Once again, the venue for the festival will be Donard in Co Wicklow.
The principal sponsor of the event, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum suggested that a children’s competition be incorporated into the festival.
This is planned as a charity competition with riders being sponsored and funds going to local charities. All competitors will have to be accompanied by an adult.
