Top French showjumper Kevin Staut has launched a clothing collection.
The menswear range will be unveiled at the Gucci Masters in Paris next week (2-4 December).
Then it will be offered for sale at international horse shows and on Kevin’s website.
The KS by Scabal Collection includes a tailored riding jacket, tailored shirt, a tie, a belt, silk and cotton pocket handkerchiefs and a bow tie.
The range claims to be “dynamic, elegant and unique”, with the made-to-measure rider’s jacket as its centrepiece.
Gilles Bertran de Balanda, the former French chef d’ ©quipe, once told Kevin Staut: “You can win without being elegant, but you will never be admired.”
So Kevin set to designing a clothing range.
“The rider’s jacket was created giving emphasis to the idea of comfort, elegance, and customisation,” said a spokesman for the range.
“The fabrics used to create these made-to-measure jackets were carefully selected by Scabal for their lightness, their elasticity and their chic and timeless design.”
The range also features evening attire.
“Because a great rider is meant to receive many prizes during his career and also attend numerous galas, Scabal has created an evening outfit for Kevin Staut inspired by the look ‘dandy chic’,” added the spokesman.
The jacket costs from €950 ( £820) and the shirt from €250 ( £215).
