Don’t miss out on the chance to learn from some of the UK’s top vets at a series of roadshows over the next few weeks.
And, in a bit of a twist, the team of experts will be travelling around the country on the back of motorbikes.
Vets with Horsepower is a team of motorbiking vets, who raise money for charity by giving educational talks to owners on a variety of horse health issues at venues around the country. Last year they raised £100,000 for good causes and they’re hoping to at least match that this year.
The team is led by Professor Derek Knottenbelt and is raising money for two charities — World Horse Welfare and the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA).
Ten topics will be under discussion at each talk, ranging from colic to strangles and worming to obesity.
Tickets are still available at the following venues:
Hartpury College (18 July), World Horse Welfare’s Hall Farm, Snetterton (19 July), Bishop Burton College, Beverley, (20 July), Oatridge College, West Lothian (21 July). Tickets cost £30 and each talk starts at 9.30am.
