Tickets for Royal Windsor 2011 now on sale

  • The Royal Windsor Horse Show box office is now open for next year’s event (11-15 May 2011).

Tickets went on sale yesterday (Tuesday 2 November).

Royal Windsor, now in its 68th year, is the first major outdoor show of the season. It is one of the largest outdoor equestrian shows in the UK with more than 3,000 horses and ponies taking part in more than 250 classes.

The 2011 show will feature showjumping, international carriage driving, showing, the Shetland pony grand national and the Pony Club mounted games.

The Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo, which takes place in the evenings after the show, is in its fourth year now. It supports the Royal British Legion, raising funds to help soldiers who have served in operations such as Iraq and Afghanistan and their dependants.

The Tattoo includes ceremonial displays and military bands and one of the highlights is a tribute to the Royal Navy Field Gun competition, last seen in its full format at The Royal Tournament in 1999.

Adult tickets for Royal Windsor Horse Show cost from £14. For more information visit: www.rwhs.co.uk or call: 0871 230 5568.

And tickets for the Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo cost between £27.50 and £65 and can be bought at www.windsortattoo.com.
