British-based Australian four-in-hand driver Boyd Exell, the reigning national champion, retained his second place in the overall rankings of the World Cup driving series at the final event in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The reigning world champion, Michael Freund from Germany, had already reclaimed the title after four wins, but there was a fierce battle for second place between Boyd, Dutch driver Mark Weusthof and Germany’s Christoph Sandmann.
Exell picked up 10 cones penalties, dropping him to third place, but he claimed second place on the overall rankings by just one point.
