The Princess Royal launches ‘Rehome a Horse Month’

  • World Horse Welfare has declared July ‘Rehome a Horse Month’ to draw attention to the benefits the charity claims rehoming a horse has over buying.

The Princess Royal is due to launch the appeal at World Horse Welfare’s Hall Farm Centre in Norfolk today (30 June).

Chief executive Roly Owers said:“We hear growing complaints about the low quality of horses purchased at markets or over the web, while at the same time our rescue centres are bursting.”

World Horse Welfare says loan horses come vetted, with a passport, microchip and an honest assessment of their abilities.
