Thanksgiving service for young horseman Jack Bowlby

  • A thanksgiving service for 16-year-old Jack Bowlby, who died last month, will be held on Friday 23 November.

Jack, who was son of former jockey Mike and trainer Mandy, and nephew of former racehorse trainer Jenny Pitman, was found dead at his school, Cheltenham College on Friday 12 October.

Jack was successful in showing and showjumping and had competed at Horse of the Year Show.

The service will be at the chapel at Cheltenham College, Glos, at 12.30pm.

His family hope that everyone who knew Jack will help “raise the roof” of the College Chapel to celebrate Jack’s life.

There will be tea afterwards in the College Dining Hall. Everyone welcome.
