Nominations from the equestrian world are being sought for BBC Sport’s Unsung Hero award.
Fifteen awards are handed out to volunteers in grass-roots sport nationwide, with the overall winner announced at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show in December.
Charles Runcie of BBC Sport told H&H that very few nominations are received from the horseworld — and he would like to see this change.
“From Pony Club branches to the RDA [Riding for the Disabled Association] via the worlds of jumping or eventing, there must be some great stories out there,” he said. “We’d love to hear them, so get nominating.”
Nominations close on 14 October, visit www.bbc.co.uk/unsunghero
