Snuggy Hoods awarded Royal Warrant from The Queen

  • Snuggy Hoods has been awarded a Royal Warrant from The Queen.

The company, which makes protective garments for horses, has been supplying The Queen for many years.

The award represents “excellence and quality”. There are only around 850 Royal Warrant Holders, and only a few in the equestrian sector.

Snuggy Hoods is a small family-run business in Wiltshire. The business began about 20 years ago when Marilyn Harford realised the need for qualityunderwear/protective clothing for horses and ponies.

Marilyn’s daughter Becky Godfrey-Fausset now runs the company, she said they are “thrilled and honoured”.

“Mum invented our products and at the time called herself ‘Snuggy Hoods and Silky Bibs – Undercover for Horses’,” she added.

“People would ask us at horse shows how we kept our ponies so clean. Then one year Mum was asked to provide hoods for a stand at Badminton and I remember her staying up all weekend sewing. From there it went from strength-to-strength.”
