A severed horse head has been found in a busy residential street, horrifying local residents.
The head was found dumped in a densely-populated area of Washington, Pennsylvania, but police are struggling to find leads.
Washington public works bureau director Matt Staniszewski said: “One neighbour reported seeing a white pick-up truck in the area, but did not get a licence plate number.
“Let’s hope there is no animal cruelty involved here,” he added.
