Irish hunt supporters will rally outside the Irish parliament on Thursday, to demonstrate against new laws that will ban stag hunting and cause extra expense for hunts.
Environment minister John Gormley has announced his wish to push the Wildlife (Amendment) Bill 2010 and Dog Breeding Establishments Bill through parliament by early July.
Members of pro-hunting group RISE! (Rural Ireland Says Enough) will be outside the Dáil on Thursday (24 June) while the Wildlife Bill is being debated and all day on 30 June.
And a rally will be held in Trim, Co Meath on Saturday (26 June) in support of Ireland’s only stag hunt, the Ward Union (pictured above).
