Riders set out on 250-mile ride for Riding for the Disabled Association

  • A Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) instructor and a volunteer are to ride the 250 miles from Wellow Trekking Centre near Bath to Land’s End to raise funds for the RDA South West Region.

Anne Allen, who has been a instructor for the Wellow group for 20 years and Pat Caudle, who has volunteered there for the past five, will set out on Saturday (28 March).

They expect to spend two weeks in the saddle, arriving at Land’s End on 12 April.

Anne said: “The ride is a daunting challenge but with the backup of our excellent support team and people kindly providing us with bed and breakfast and stabling for the horses en-route, we hope it will be an enjoyable experience.”

Sponsorship forms are available from Wellow Trekking Centre, via email from pat.caudle@btinternet.com or donations can be made on line at www.justgiving.com/anneallen
