A total of 90 rides across the country marked this year’s “Ride for Road Safety” weekend
Riders across Britain joined forces on 13-14 October to draw attention to the risks faced whenventuring out on to the roads.
Clad in high-viz gear, they headed for towns and villages accompanied by foot followers, who handed out road safety information to passers-by and drivers. There were also dismounted demonstrations in larger towns andoutside major supermarkets.
A total of 90 rides was organised, including high-profile occasions such as a ride through Richmond Park, attended by Nicola Fox, the 18-year-old who narrowly escaped with her life this summer when her horse was killedin a hit-and-run incident in the park.
