Pony Club chairman to retire at the end of the year


  • Pony Club chairman Mary Anderson will retire at the end of this year after four years in the post.

    Before she became chairman in 2004, Mary was district commissioner of the Brecon and Talybont branch of the Pony Club for seven years and area representative for Area 10.

    During her time as chairman, Mary has introduced pony racing to the Pony Club and polocross to the national championships.

    “I have had a wonderful four years at the Pony Club, enjoyed every minute, and will be taking many happy memories with me,” she said.

    Current vice-chairman Cherry Mitchell will succeed Mary in the top spot on 1 January 2008.
