Old HOYS rosettes will be back for 2012

  • Criticism of the rosettes at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) has prompted the event’s organisers to reinstate the old design for 2012.

Showing producer Lynn Russell spoke of her “disappointment” with the rosettes in our report (13 October).

Miss Russell said it was a “shame” that the “smart metal face” had been replaced with cardboard.

Grandstand Media, which runs HOYS, told H&H there had been “overwhelming feedback” about the new rosettes.

A spokesman said they wanted “every element” of HOYS to “exude supremacy and glamour” – and would reinstate the metal disc for 2012.
