New title sponsor for HOYS

  • This year’s Horse of the Year show will have an overall sponsor for the first time ever

For the first time in its 54-year history, this year’s Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) will have a title sponsor.

Equestrian Surfaces, a leading supplier of all-weather synthetic riding surfaces, will be sponsoring the show for the next five years, beginning with this year’s event at the NEC Arena, Birmingham (9-13 October). The show will be called “the Horse of the Year Show, sponsored by Equestrian Surfaces”.

The sponsorship will include the use of Equestrian Surfaces’ Cushiontrack surface in the International Arena and the Horse & Hound Arena together with the ancillary areas.

The surface was recently used in the Castle Arena at Royal Windsor, where it was well received by international riders and members of the “All the Queen’s Horses” display.

“We are delighted to have secured the backing of an overall sponsor for Horse of the Year Show,” says Grandstand Media director Mark Wein. “This substantial five-year deal signifies the ongoing strength of the Horse of the Year Show.”

“This is our first major sponsorship involvement,” said Paul Harper, managing director of Equestrian Surfaces. “What better way to start than to become overall show sponsor of Britain’s biggest indoor equestrian event. We are really looking forward to a partnership with such a high profile and prestigious event.”

Tickets for this year’s show are now available by calling the ticket hotline (tel: 0870 010 1052) or by visiting the website www.hoys.co.uk
