Riding school helpers will be able to work towards a new qualification launched by the British Horse Society (BHS).
The Riding School Assistant Certificate of Competence tests the all-round ability of volunteer helpers, including basic grooming, tacking-up and leading horses and ponies.
Any riding school helper over the age of 14 can take the exam.
