Meet top stars at HORSE 2002

  • Don’t miss HORSE magazine’s fantastic 2002 roadshow next month – we’ve got five pairs of tickets to give away

Olympic dressage rider Richard Davison, Olympic eventer Karen Dixon, leading event rider Robert Lemieux and horse trainer and behaviourist Richard Maxwell [pictured] will be sharing their knowledge with visitors to HORSE magazine’s second roadshow of 2002.

The event will take place at Markfield Equestrian Centre in Leicestershire on Sunday 11 August.

Sponsored by Merial Animal Health, HORSE 2002 promises to be a great day out for all equestrian enthusiasts with lecture demonstrations and entertaining displays throughout the day.

There’s also a chance to see members of the World Equestrian Games’ British vaulting squad, who will demonstrate their unique body control, balance and teamwork that they hope will help them win a medal at WEG in September.

Plus Western riding specialist David Lloyd will be at the event providing an insight into the different sports of Western riding, including pleasure gaits, trail obstacles and reining, which is making its debut at this year’s World Equestrian Games.

Leading equestrian experts will be on hand in the Horsecare Forum with informative talks and expert advice on a range of topics, from feeding to natural therapies.

A dramatic finale celebrating the grace and beauty of horses working to music will bring the day to a close. Richard Davison will demonstrate dressage to music and Saffron Walden Riding Club will treat the audience to the display which won the 2001 South Essex Insurance Brokers Riding Club Quadrille Championship at Olympia.

Tickets for HORSE 2002 cost £14.50 for adults, £9.50 for students, under 16s or OAPs, with children under five going free. For ticket or trade stand information (tel: 01403 256255).
