The medical charity, Action Research, is appealing for riders to join a fund-raising ride in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex on 25 September.
The ride, which celebrates its 25th anniversary,covers 10 miles of countryside and features 32 optional jumps and obstacles.
For the first time this year, there’s a new competition for the rider “nearest the bogie time”, in which the rider who is nearest the set time is the winner.
The event which is part of the charity’s Touching Lives campaign that aims to raise £2m for medical research.
Spokesman Duncan Barkes told Horse & Hound Online that the charity is hoping to raise around £12,000 from the event so there is no limit to the numbers of riders they can take.
Entry is £10 for under-16s and £15 for others.
