Jockey Timmy Murphy off for three weeks with dislocated shoulder

  • Grand National winning jockey Timmy Murphy has been sidelined for at least three weeks after dislocating his shoulder.

Timmy was unseated from Highland River, trained by David Elsworth at Newton Abbot racecourse on Saturday (18 July).

He was taken to Torbay General Hospital where he had his shoulder put back in, but has been advised to rest before seeing a shoulder specialist in three weeks time.

Timmy will miss Galway races’ Summer Festival next week (27 July -2 August).
