Joanne Eccles retains world vaulting champion title

  • British vaulter Joanne Eccles retained her world vaulting champion title in France at the weekend.

This win takes Joanne’s winning streak to four consecutive championships.

In second was Rikki Laumann from Denmark, 3rd was Sarah Kay from Germany.

Joanne was vaulting on her own WH Bentley and lunged by her father John. And it was the horse’s 50th international competition.

Joanne, along with her sister Hannah, also won silver in the pas de deux class.
