James Gray has been arrested after being on the run for the past two weeks.
Police arrested horse trader Gray this morning (Wednesday 26 May) at 10.35am on the northbound M5 near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire during a random spot check.
Gray absconded from court as he and his family were hearing their appeal against sentence on Wednesday 12 May.
He was sentenced in his absence to six-months in prison for cruelty to more than 100 horses, ponies and donkeys.
Gray is due to appear in court at 10am at Aylesbury Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday 27 May).
