British Showjumping (BS) members have voted Ingliston Country Club the UK’s equestrian venue of the year – putting the Renfrewshire centre ahead of Hickstead and Aintree.
The centre – which sits in countryside just a short drive from Glasgow city centre – regularly hosts top-class equestrian events and is home to this year’s Scottish Premier Show (1-4 December).
Its facilities include a riding academy with 200 stables, indoor and outdoor international arenas, BS championship-standard show jumps, a riding simulator and an equestrian boutique.
Paul Fraser, who owns the family-run business, said: “This award is also particularly special as it has been voted for by members of the showjumping community who use our state-of-the-art facilities.”
No membership is required to enjoy the other facilities offered by Ingliston Country Club. There are two restaurants, a health and beauty salon and holiday lodges.
A BS spokesman said Ingliston “thoroughly deserved” the award.
