HorseWorld forced to cancel fundraising show due to bad weather

  • HorseWorld has been forced to cancel this weekend’s open horse and pony show due to the recent wet weather.

The show was scheduled to take place on Saturday, 13 September, but the heavy rain has left the ground too waterlogged to safely go ahead.

The Bristol-based charity, which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes horses, were expecting to raise £10,000 from the event.

Jennifer Cooper, the chairman of trustees at HorseWorld, said: “It is very unfortunate that the weather has been against us as this will set us back in our fundraising.

“We rely on these events to help us support the welfare department at HorseWorld, which rehabilitates sick, neglected or traumatised horses bringing them back to health and enabling them to trust humans once again.”
