Dust-free hay substitute HorseHage has been selected by the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) as the official forage supplier to Equestrian Team GBR.
Will Connell, BEF world class performance director, said: “HorseHage has supplied the team for a number of years, including at Olympic and Paralympic Games, and we will be taking a container of Horsehage to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games later this year.
“Knowing that all the horses will have access to quality, dust-free forage throughout the competition will be a great asset.”
HorseHage’s producers Marksway say the feed is a “healthy, dust-free, consistent alternative to hay or big bale haylage. It is free from any chemical additives, mould inhibitors, flavourings, molasses or inoculants and has a lower sugar level than hay”.
It is available in four different types, offering a choice of energy and protein levels.
“We are thrilled to be able to continue our support of the BEF and Team GBR competing in the various equestrian disciplines and wish the teams much success in the forthcoming major events,” said Chris Tar of HorseHage.
