Horse Sense event offers expert advice


  • Horse Sense, a two-day event of talks, demonstrations and workshops, is being held in aid of the Supporting Farmers in Crisis Fund.

    The event at Medstead Grange Equestrian Centre, Bentworth, Hants, which has the support of the National Farmers Union (NFU), will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May 2001.

    The line-up of guest speakers includes Dr David Marlin of the Animal Health Trust, physiotherapist Jo Hodges and sports psychologist Nicky Heath.

    Jane Hamilton, of Medstead Grange EC said: “Horse Sense has been organised as a result of the FMD crisis. We are keen to help the farmers and those affected in any way we can.

    “In addition we have provided a tradestand village to enable those small businesses threatened by the cancellation of the majority of the agricultural and equine events, to continue trading.”Horse Sense will be open from 1am to 6pm every day and tickets cost £10 per day.
