H&H’s point-to-point columnist given 12-day ban

  • H&H’s new point-to-point columnist Jacqueline Coward has received a 12-day ban after taking the wrong route during the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham last Friday (9 December).

Chaos ensued when Wedger Pardy, ridden by amateur jockey Jacqueline, led the rest of the field off the course and on to the home straight.

Fellow jockey Richard Johnson attempted to rectify the situation but, in the process, crashed through the running rails and brought down A New Story.

Adrian Heskin, who was riding A New Story, was also banned for 12 days. Five other jockeys escaped bans following a stewards’ inquiry.
