Help research the impact of African Horse Sickness

  • The team researching the financial and logistical impact of an outbreak of African Horse Sickness in the UK (news, 30 July) wants H&H readers to help.

Agricultural economist Keith Allison, of Reading University, said: “We want to know how you and your horse would be affected if you could not travel away from the area that you normally exercise in for a period of say twelve months and could not take your horse to shows, events or other gatherings.”

He also wants to know what riding disciplines you would normally take part in each year and if a movement restriction would mean you having to sell your horse.
