Help for Heroes to benefit from dressage competition

  • A charity dressage competition is being held by the Vale of Usk riding club to raise money for Help for Heroes on Saturday, 24 September.

The open competition, to be held at Coleg Gwent’s Usk Campus, will hold four classes — intro B, prelim 7, pick your own test (novice 25, elementary 44 or medium 63) and dressage to music.

Chairman of the riding club Nikki Watson said: “It’s going to be a very special day and it’s all to raise money for an incredible cause.

“We’d love to see people who’ve never ridden a dressage test before.

“Because of that we’ve relaxed the dress code for those who haven’t got a competition outfit — all we specify is hard harts and the correct footwear.

“We’d love to see the young and old turn out to support such a great cause.”
