Fuel and brake lines cut in horse box damage incident

  • Police in Cambridgeshire are investigating an incident where fuel pipes and brake cables were severed on two horse boxes.

Two Iveco lorries parked at Moats Way Equestrian Centre in Hemingford Abbotts were attacked by persons or animals unknown between 10 and 15 June.

Aislinn McKibbin, whose lorry was targeted, said: “It does not bear thinking about the damage, and potential loss of life, that may have occurred had this not been discovered.”

She said the police were investigating whether the damage could have caused by dogs or foxes, but had not ruled out criminal damage.
