Former eventers to be BE regional coordinators

    • British Eventing (BE) has named its two new regional coordinators (RCs), who are both former event riders.

    Pattie Biden takes over in the southern region, following the retirement of Robert Mackenzie on 1 August, and Philip Surl became RC for the newly created eastern region, on 7 June.

    Ms Biden is the organiser of Gatcombe Horse Trials and runs the BE Young Horse Championships.

    And Mr Surl is a BE technical advisor and member of the coaching development team.

    RCs were introduced last month to replace regional directors.
