TV presenter Paul Martin will be bringing down the hammer at next month’s Redwings Horse Sanctuary auction.
Paul — who presents the BBC’s “Flog It” — is celebrity auctioneer at the equine charity’s silver jubilee auction. Redwings is this year celebrating 25 years of rescuing horses and providing welfare advice.
The auction will be held on 28 November at the Maids Head Hotel in Norwich. Lots include “pony and donkey doodles” drawn by celebrities Jo Brand, Julian Clary, Bill Bailey and Tony Robinson; a signed photograph of Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe; a day at Newmarket Races; a morning on the gallops with William Haggis and a trip on the Norfolk Broads.
Flog It presenter Paul Martin said: “I have several horses myself, so I really appreciate the work that Redwings does to help horses in need — I’m really looking forward to the auction.”
Redwings Horse Sanctuary currently provides more than 1,100 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules with specialist care, and has 500 horses out on loan.
Tickets to the auction cost £15, and all guests will enjoy a drinks reception and a commemorative goody bag. The evening starts at 7.30pm, with viewing from 6-7pm.
