Equo reveals five new brand ambassadors

  • Five individuals have been named to become regional brand ambassadors for Horse & Hound’s new online events entry service – Equo.

These five have been selected after 12 short listed riders faced the public vote last week, which carried equal weight with the Equo team’s choice of winner.

The winners will now represent Equo across each region of the UK — north west, north east, central, south west and south east. Each brand ambassador will receive £100 a month for 10 months to spend on booking training and entering competitions through Equo, as well as branded clothing and an online blog space.

The winners are Bonnie Fishburn (north west), Claire Taylor (north east), Leanne Ehren (central), Ali Dane (south west) and Jessica Leroy (south east).

H&H‘s acting print director, Alice Collins, said: “We are delighted to be launching our new and comprehensive events entry website, wwww.equoevents.com, with the backing of these fantastic ambassadors.

“They all faced tough competition and have battled hard for selection — both through the public voting system, in which they garnered thousands of votes, and by impressing our panel here at Horse & Hound with their campaigns.

“They all recognise the need for a new and modern online system that makes entering equestrian events quick and easy. We welcome them on to the team and look forward to working in partnership with them on this exciting new project.”

Bonnie Fishburn said: “I am delighted to become one of the first Equo brand ambassadors”.

Bonnie described the public vote as “nerve-wracking” due to the high standard of the shortlisted riders, however she is now thrilled to be working alongside Equo and starting a regular blog.

She added: “I’m really excited about what Equo has to offer and its help will be hugely appreciated”.

Equally excited is Claire Taylor, who said: “The experience so far has been incredible. During the voting campaign it was great to see how social media can be used in such a positive way.”

The north east rider added she has never felt so motivated and “cannot wait to start promoting Equo, as it’s the way forward with competition entries.”

Central brand ambassador, Leanne Ehren, said the whole process has been a “whirlwind of excitement”. “When I found out I had been shortlisted I was thrilled and the two weeks of campaigning that followed were so much fun,” she said.

“The support we’ve received from the equestrian world has been lovely and we’re really looking forward to sharing our journey with everyone.”

Ali Dane, who is representing the south west is also thrilled to have been selected and said she can’t wait to get out and compete more.

Similarly, south east rider Jessica Leroy (pictured, top) claims the selection has “made her year” and she cannot wait to see Equo “take off and hit the ground running —or galloping in this case.”

We look forward to working with the new Equo brand ambassadors and joining them on their journey.
