One young showjumper will win £8,000-worth of sponsorship and products in a competition launched by equestrian supplier Equiport.
The Cheshire-based company is holding a prize draw, with entry limited to British Showjumping young riders, who do not already have a kit sponsor.
The winner will receive £1,000 towards entrance fees, a training session with Irish international rider Billy Twomey and a range of Equiport products, including rugs, boots, tack and riding clothes.
Two runners-up will each win a show rug and three saddle cloths.
Equiport director Ashley Gaynon said: “There are so many talented showjumpers within the British young rider rankings and I feel really privileged to be able to give one of them a leg up in their career by backing them with sponsorship.
“Having money towards entry fees, an invaluable lesson with the world-class rider Billy Twomey and a lot of Equiport products to kit out them and their horse, is going to be, I hope, a huge help to any young rider.”
The promotion will be officially launched at the British Open Show Jumping Championships (7-10 April), where the company is sponsoring an international class, The Equiport Classic, on 8 April.
To enter the Equiport sponsorship promotion entrants must complete an entry form at www.equiport.co.uk .
Entries close on 23 December 2010.
