A packed programme of harness racing is on offer in Derbyshire this week
The second harness racing fixture is set to take place at Pike Hall Farm, near Matlock, Derby, on Thursday, 25 July. The 10 – 12 race fixture, run under BHRC rules starts at 5pm.
The full programme includes races for maidens and top grade horses, which carry a winners purse of £250. In addition, £500 is on offer to the winner of the trottingrace.
The first two horses in the top grade sections will also go through to a final where the winner will take home £2,000.
Now in it’s third successive season, Pikehall is well established in the Peak District calendar and has attracted most of the top horses and drivers from the UK and Ireland.
Live music, licensed bars, refreshments, and up to 20 bookmakers attract good crowds to the Derbyshire village.
