Countrywide raises £130k for Riding for the Disabled Association

  • Rural supplier Countrywide has donated £130,000 to the Riding for the Disabled Association.

Staff and customers of Countrywide raised the sum through various means, including golf and shooting days, a silent auction and via Countrywide’s specialist in store equine, pet, smallholder and farmer events.

A cheque for £130k was presented to the RDA president Princess Anne.

“I want to thank Countrywide staff and customers who have donated their time and money to help reach this phenomenal total,” said Ed Bracher, chief executive of the RDA.

“The money will enable us to increase the support we give to our groups, helping them meet the growing demand for our activities across the UK.”

John Hardman, Countrywide chief executive added: “We have been working in partnership with RDA as our designated charity for the past three years. It is a wonderful organisation and there has been a great deal of passion and commitment throughout the Countrywide business to raise money and awareness for the work it undertakes.”
