Colleges to take over responsibility for farriery apprenticeships

  • A handful of colleges are preparing to take over full responsibility for farriery apprenticeships.

Earlier this year the National Farriers Training Agency was shut down in the wake of a poor Ofsted report.

Now, after weeks of working with the main farriery organisations, 3 colleges — Herefordshire and Ludlow College, Myerscough College and Warwickshire College will deliver the apprenticeships.

Rob Dunn of Herefordshire and Ludlow College said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to move into a new era of closer working relationships with Approved Training Farriers and their apprentices.”
