Nicky Barrett and Giorgio S are new British dressage champions
Nicky Barrett and Giorgio S successfully defended their grand prix title and won the freestyle to gain the title of Mercedes-Benz national Champions at the national Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh.
The combination had only returned four days earlier from a successful foray to the Saumur CDI, where they won the grand prix freestyle.
“This is what everyone wants to win,” said Nicky after claiming her first national title with the 13-year-old Giorgio. “I was really nervous, although I always try my best and this is the best music test Giorgio has ever done – he couldn’t have done any more. To be pleased with the test and to win is the best feeling there is.”
