Why this year’s Olympia International Show Jumping Championships is a great way to get you in the festive spirit
Where can you meet Father Christmas, find more than 100 shops in which to hunt for perfect gifts and watch the stars of show jumping in action, all in the space of a few hours?
The highlight of Olympia is Saturday afternoon’s World Cup qualifier, but every performance has top-class jumping, plus those “additional extras” that make this show so special.
These include those perennial favourites, the Shetland ponies, who race in aid of the show’s official charity, The Blue Cross, and the agility dogs, who are guaranteed to provide thrills every day.
There are displays in abundance, headed by the daring Horse & Hound-sponsored Ukranian Cossacks, while grace and elegance will be provided by the Warendorf Stallion Parade, in which Westphalian stallions show their paces.
Tickets arestill available for some performances. Contact (tel: 0870 733 0733) or visit www.olympiashowjumping.com
