According to a report in the Sunday People newspaper, Victoria and David Beckham have bought their son Brooklyn a Shetland pony, worth £500 for his fourth birthday today.Friends of the couple report that Brooklyn is fascinated by horses and ponies.
Victoria Beckham is said to be keen for her son to learn to ride at a young age and it is hoped that a Shetland pony proves the ideal companion.
Brooklyn is expected to celebrate with a star-studded celebrity bash, which is estimated to cost £10,000. The celebrations will include a private screening of Walt Disney’s Treasure Planet at a local cinema, which his parents have hired out for the occasion.
Among the invited guests expected to attend are Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Ole Solskjaer, however, ManchesterUnited manager Alex Ferguson is reported to have ordered his players to be back home by 9pm tonight.
The Beckham’s home near Macclesfield, Cheshire, has stables and Brooklyn is expected to receive tuition from a qualified instructor.
