Members and supporters of the Leicestershire-based Fernie Hunt presented the Midlands charity, County Air Ambulance, with a cheque for £1000 at its open day on Sunday 1 July. The money was raisedat the Fernie Hunt Farmers Ball.
Jacky Allen, founder of the Countryside Sports Appeal for the Air Ambulance said: “The air ambulance is a life saving service and those involved in country sports have been supporting it through my appeal for several years.
“The Fernie is one of many hunts in the Midlands holding events to raise money and we are hugely grateful for their contribution.”
Several hundred people went to the hunt’s open day at its kennels in Great Bowden near Market Harborough.
