Future for Bilsdale hunt has been decided

  • The Bilsdale hunt will neither merge with the Hurworth nor the Bilsdale Farmers, as had been previously suggested.

Next season, the hunt will join with neighbouring pack the Hurworth on Tuesdays and hunt its own country on Saturdays.

Joint-masters Nigel Clack and Sheila Ashby have stood down.

In a statement on the hunt’s website, chairman Alex Guthe said the decision had been made in the interests of hound welfare and management.
